Office Activities related to NATO
Since 1998, when the Czech Republic acceded to the NATO, the Office has been actively involved in the work of the Civil Communications Planning Committee (CCPC) and its subcommittees and specialised working groups. Representatives of Office regularly attend the meetings, focusing primarily on securing crisis management in electronic communications under liberalisation and globalisation conditions and the related regulation and legislation issues as well as the issues of the NATO frequency table.
Within activities of the Subcommittee for Frequency Management (FMSC) are the Office representatives regularly taking part at FMSC meetings as well as at meetings of its Policy Working Group, which mainly deal with issues of availability of the frequency spectrum for military needs of the NATO Member States and a harmonisation of this spectrum. In conjunction with the change in operation of NATO troops also outside territory of the NATO Member States, one of the most important tasks is the support of military interests of the Alliance within the scope of frequency spectrum use on meetings of international organisations including World Radiocommunication Conference, where the global changes of individual frequency bands allocations are adopted.
