General Authorisation

The General Licences issued in accordance with Act No. 151/2000 Coll., on Telecommunications and on Amendment to Other Acts, as amended, are considered, on the basis of the transition provision of Section 136(8) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications and on Amendment to Certain Related Acts (the Electronic Communications Act), as General Authorisations within the meaning of Section 9 of the Electronic Communications Act. This will remain so until a new general authorisation is issued but not longer than 5 months after the effective date of the Electronic Communications Act.

The Czech Telecommunication Office is obliged to issue the general authorisations based on Section 9 of the Electronic Communications Act within 5 months after the effective date of that Act. The Electronic Communications Act came into effect on 1 May 2005.
