Information on the Conformity Assessment Regime
The Conformity assessment regime in the Czech Republic is fully compatible with European directive No. 1999/5/EC (hereinafter “RTTE”).
Any telecommunication product on the Czech market has to be provided by:
- Information in Czech language on the packaging and in the instructions for use (for radio equipment: information on use of the apparatus in the Member States; for Telecommunications terminal equipment: information sufficient to identify interfaces of the public telecommunications networks to which the equipment is intended to be connected) on the intended use of the apparatus.
- EC Conformity marking: After the 1st May 2004, the Czech conformity mark “CCz” is no more valid for placing on the market. Each product shall bear the EC conformity mark:
- telecommunications terminal equipment; radio receivers (Annex II of RTTE); radio transmitters in class I (Annex III of RTTE)
- radio transmitters in class I (Annex IV or V of RTTE)
- radio transmitters in class II (Annex III of RTTE)
- radio transmitters in class II (Annex IVor V of RTTE)
(Instead of „9999“, a particular number of a notified body is applied)
- telecommunications terminal equipment; radio receivers (Annex II of RTTE); radio transmitters in class I (Annex III of RTTE)
- Type, batch and/or serial numbers and the name of the manufacturer or the person responsible for placing the apparatus on the market (on each apparatus)
- Declaration of Conformity (a copy of the original document issued by the manufacturer)
- The Statement of conformity in Czech language (as part of the user’s manual): „[name of the Manufacturer] tímto prohlašuje, že [type of the product] je ve shodě se základními požadavky a s dalšími příslušnými ustanovení Nařízení vlády č. 426/2000 Sb.“).
