  • Consumer protection in the field of sale and supply of products, goods and services to the internal market,
  • Dealing with misleading and agressive commercial practices, with failure to provide information on prices of products, goods and services and with difficulties with claims except electronic communication services,
  • Complaints, initiatives or enquiries can be made in electronic form at the electronic address of the mailroom,
  • Providing consultations and information in most of the regional inspectorates, respectively this service is available at the trade licence offices,
  • Searching information on dangerous products in RAPEX database in English (note:.The database is not under responsibility of COI.)

Competences in relation to electronic communications:

  • The products also include telecommunication equipment as mobile phones, tablets, notebooks, Wi-fi routers etc.,

  • Dealing with content services provided through phone numbers 90X or short codes for premium SMS and MMS messages,
  • Searching information on dangerous telecommunication products in the EU in ICSMS database.

  • Procedures according to Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on personal data protection, and other legal regulation,
  • Dealing with misuse of personal data, complaints can be filed here.

Competences in relation to electronic communications:

  • With providing the electronic communication services there are personal data of subscribers used.
  • For distributing the unsolicited commercial communications there are telephone numbers, short codes for premium SMS and MMS messages, e-mails etc. used.

  • Receiving criminal complaints of citizens,
  • Dealing with cyber criminality, notice can be sent out here.,
  • Protecting from stalking, committed also through the mobile phone or e-mails etc.,
  • Based on an application of the owner the stolen mobile phone can be blocked,
  • Verifying IMEI of the stolen mobile phone,
  • Supporting project „Safe Internet“.
