Data collection 2021

The Czech Telecommunication Office (CTU) performed in 2022 via its Electronic data collection system (ESD) a broad data collection on the existing electronic communications networks infrastructure with focus on the identification of connections allowing the provision of internet access services with the speed of 30 Mbit/s and higher, according to address points. The collected data refers to 31 December 2021.

The results were submitted to Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO) mainly for the purpose of defining the so-called regions for intervention.

For information, CTU presents coverage map of electronic communications networks for internet access services in the Czech Republic. The map shows the level of coverage of individual address points with available connections for Internet access services with effective speeds above 30 Mbit/s in individual basic residential units (ZSJ).

Other source data is available in the section "Open data of CTU". In particular, there is a summary table of all ZSJ in the Czech Republic (including the total percentage of coverage and number of undertakings active in the ZSJ) and a summary table of colour marking of the ZSJ within individual region (by percentage of coverage).
