Experimental broadcasting

In accordance with Section 19b of Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on electronic communications and amending certain related acts (Act on Electronic Communications), as amended (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”), the Czech Telecommunication Office may award individual authorisation to utilise radio frequencies for experimental purposes. Experimental purposes are understood to be the utilisation of radio frequencies for research, development and the operative testing of new transmission equipment or to check and identify the physical properties of the transmission of radio waves.
Information about the results of utilising radio frequencies for experimental purposes which the Czech Telecommunication Office receives from the operators of experimental transmission will be published by the Office on these pages.

Apart from information about the results of experimental transmission undertaken in accordance with Section 19b of the Act, the Czech Telecommunication Office will also publish here reports and information about the results of testing operations undertaken for the purpose of checking the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of new technological equipment and services or other tests in which the Office takes an active part.
