Notification of radio equipment
Producer or his authorised representative are obliged to make a notification of certain equipment. Conditions of the notification are set in Government Order No. 426/2000 Coll., laying down the technical requirements for radio and telecommunication terminal equipment, as amended.
The new Government Order No. 426/2016 Coll., on the assessment of conformity of radio equipment when delivered to the market, does not provide for such an obligation so far. Nevertheless, according to Directive 2014/53/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of radio equipment and repealing Directive 1999/5/EC the producers shall register into the central system the types of the radio equipment of the categories with a low level of conformity with the elementary requirements set out in Article 3 prior to their delivery to the market. Detailed rules on registration and placing the registration numbers on the radio equipment will be set out by implementing provisions of the European Commission (these have not been issued yet).
As regards the equipment delivered to the market until 13 June 2017 according to the Government Order No. 426/2000 Coll. the producer or importer was obliged to make the notification except the following categories:
- radio receivers;
- equipment class 1;
- equipment class 2, which can transmit only in the regime of the General Authorisations;
- amateur service equipment, EPIRB radio beacons, ground equipment for air traffic control and base stations for GSM, UMTS and LTE.
Notice:
Earlier approved products, or products where the conformity was assessed by the Czech telecommunication office, are considered to be notified on 1 May 2004.
