Prague, 9 June 2020 – The Czech Telecommunication Office gave its support to faster retuning of a television broadcasting network operated by Digital Broadcasting in Pradubický and Královehradecký region.
Because the transition of terrestrial digital television broadcasting to a new DVB-T2 standard has been interrupted due to the measures adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic, the television broadcasting in Digital Broadcasting network has been interfered by Polish transmitter Sněžné jámy launched on the same radio channel.
After consultation with CTU, Digital Broadcasting agreed with the broadcasting operators to speed up the retuning process of its own broadcasting network in Pardubický and Královehradecký region. The final frequencies for DVB-T2 broadcasting will be retuned on 22 and 23 June 2020 (see https://www.multiplex24.cz/Aktuality).
The adopted measure will ensure uninterrupted television reception in the mentioned regions as well as in Poland.
