Universal service

The Czech Telecommunication Office determines the scope of the universal service, the rights of end users and the obligations of business undertakings which ensure a publicly available network and electronic communication services. The aim is to ensure the availability of public communication networks and services in the set quality so that the reasonable needs of end users can be satisfied.

It is here that the Office publishes decisions on the determination of a universal service provider, conclusions regarding verification of the completeness and correctness of documents, results and the method of calculating the net costs of providing a universal service and information about the imposition of special obligations associated with the provision of a universal service. The Universal Service Annual Report is part of the annual report on Office activities, which is available in the Other section.
