ANNOUNCEMENT of the invitation to tender for a postal licence holder for the period from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2024

Pursuant to Section 36a(1)(b) of Act No. 29/2000 Coll., on Postal Services and on amendments to certain related acts (the Postal Services Act), as amended, and pursuant to Section 146 of Act No. 500/2004 Coll., the Administrative Code, as amended, the Council of the Czech Telecommunications Office (hereinafter referred to as the "Administrative Authority") has announced, with regard to the expiry of the decision on  granting of postal licence No. CTU-70 580/2017-610/V. vyř. of 12 December 2017, based on the outcome of the review and after consultation on the intention with the stakeholders pursuant to Section 37(5) of the Postal Services Act and pursuant to Section 22 of the Postal Services Act, a tender for the postal licence holder for the period from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2024.

The imposition of the following obligation shall be the subject of the tender:

• to provide and ensure the delivery of postal items up to 2 kg abroad and also nationally for postal items whose dimensions do not exceed 35.3 x 25 x 2 cm and weight does not exceed 1 kg; the service of delivery of postal parcels up to 10 kg abroad; the service of delivery of money by means of money order; the service of delivery of registered item; the service of delivery of insured item; the service of free delivery of postal items up to 7 kg for blind persons; the services which must be provided based on the obligations arising from the membership of the Czech Republic in the Universal Postal Union, which shall be provided under the conditions defined in Section 3(2) of the Postal Services Act.

The tender procedure is announced by publication on the official notice board and in the Postal Bulletin.
