CALL for Comments on the Draft Measure of General Nature, General Authorisation No. VO-R/1/xx.2020-y for the Operation of User´s Terminals of Electronic Communications Radio Networks
To implement Section 9 a Section 12 of the Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications and on Amendment to Certain Related Acts (Electronic Communications Act), as amended, Czech Telecommunication Office (hereinafter „CTU“) has prepared a Draft Measure of General Nature, to issue the General Authorisation No. VO-R/1/xx.2020-y for the Operation of User´s Terminals of Electronic Communications Radio Networks. This General Authorisation repeals the General Authorisation No. VO-R/1/12.2018-8, pursuant to Article 8, and replaces it.
Main reason for issuing the General Authorisation No. VO-R/1/xx.2020-y is particularly the need to adjust parameters of the 3400-3800 MHz band (Article 3 of the General Authorisation) and bring them in compliance with the relevant part of Radio Spectrum Utilisation Plan, so after the auction ends, user´s terminals can be operated in the deployed networks, and of the 24-27 GHz band parameters (Article 3 of the General Authorisation), where the utilisation of 5G networks is expected in the future.
The draft also contains an adjustment of satellite terminals conditions (Article 5 of the General Authorisation), in accordance with international harmonisation.
According to these facts CTU proposes to issue General Authorisation under the terms of submitted draft.
