ETSI

Establishment

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI)  is a non-profit organization established in 1988.

Tasks

ETSI supports the policies of EU and EFTA, especially through the development of Harmonised European Standards for Telecommunications and Radiocommunications. 

Structure

The General Assembly (GA) is the highest decision-making body in ETSI. The ETSI Board is the executive arm of the GA. The work of ETSI is organized into committees; each of committee may establish working groups when necessary.

CTU is the full member of ETSI in category “Administrations” since 1993.

Meetings

GA meetings normally take place twice a year, Board meetings are generally held five times a year.
