PRESS RELEASE: Czech Telecommunication Office has started data collection for price and quality comparison tool for electronic communications services

Prague, 18 January 2021 – On 18 January 2021, Czech Telecommunication Office has started data collection from undertakings providing services in electronic communications to operate price and quality comparison tool for these services.    

Undertakings are obliged to provide data pursuant to Section 66a Paragraph 4 of the Electronic Communications Act, specific obligations are provided by Implementing Decree No. 582/2020. Comparison tool will contribute to increase transparency and comparability of services on the electronic communications market and will help consumers to choose the most appropriate service. Registration will run from 18 to 22 January 2021. 

Undertakings providing mobile tariffs and prepaid services, mobile internet, internet at a fixed location, calls at a fixed location or paid TV, will receive automatically generated email with unique links for registration to the comparison tool system. The registration is also available on https://srovnavac.ctu.cz/registrace without an email address. In this case it is necessary to submit signed form in precisely described manner.

Data are to be filled after successful registration and activation of user account. Undertakings shall submit data to mobile services until the end of January 2021, to the other services until the end of March 2021. Providers of mobile services will receive information e-mails on 18 January 2021.
