Overview of notified interfaces

Obligation to notify types of interfaces of public communication networks

In accordance with Section 73(7) and (8) of the Electronic Communications Act (No.127/2005 Coll.) every provider of ECN is obliged to publish by means allowing remote access, and notify the CTU thereof, types of interfaces offered by the provider for connection of devices and their technical specifications. These specifications shall be in sufficient detail to permit the design of the devices capable of utilising all the publicly available electronic communication services offered via the respective interfaces. The technical specifications shall contain all information necessary for the manufacturers to be able to perform the respective tests with regard to the applicable technical requirements for the devices.

This obligation must be fulfilled one month before the start of provision of the electronic communication services related to such interfaces. Relevant changes in technical specifications must be notified to CTU and published in a manner allowing remote access by ECN providers 3 months before their implementation.

According to Section 118(13)(c) non-fulfillment of this obligation is considered an offence which can be fined according to Section 118(23)(c) up to CZK 50 000 000 or up to 10% of the offender´s net turnover achieved for the last financial year, whichever is the higher.
